Day Two Hundred and Thirty Seven In The Life Of Your Demon Goddess

Hello My Lovelies! Yes, I know it’s been awhile since you’ve heard from me but it’s not because I’ve been slack ass… …Okay I’ve been slack ass but I’ve also been super busy and had a lot going on.   As of today I’m two full months post op from my hysterectomy.   I’m not at the point where I can say “AWWW YEAH BOYEEEEE!!   BEST SURGERY EVER!”   I’m still having hot flashes and while I knew that wouldn’t fix that little issue, it sure the hell is nice to not be on the rag constantly.   The best part of it is I was originally scheduled to go back to work four weeks post op but I ended up going back TWO WEEKS!   I’m a Boss, dammit!  Besides, the paperwork for the short term disability was a pain in the ass.   Hell, I was still getting paperwork from them at the beginning of THIS month! Sent my money all late!   That crap was for the birds!   The next time I have to take time out for surgery, I’ll use vacation/sick leave. ...

Panic Attacks, Lady Parts Surgery and Gossip - My Week In A Nutshell!

Hello My Lovelies! The blog is gonna be pretty raw today so again, don’t complain about The Diva’s language because shit just got real! Okay, earlier this week, I had somewhat of a health crisis.   Oh don’t worry, I’m fine but where I work I suffer panic attacks and I had one that overwhelmed me on Tuesday and I sort of kind of collapsed. You know how it is – the work environment is ideally located somewhere between the 5 th level of Hell and Walt Disney World and because I internalize my rage, anger, and frustrations, it manifest itself in the form of panic attacks.   Usually I can relax it away by popping in a calming CD or if it gets too bad, I can go outside and catch my breath…except it was 9,000 degrees and there was no air, so I couldn’t catch my breath.   Co-workers called 911 and the Fire Department and an ambulance showed up. While I thought it was great for them to do that, how come I never get the firemen who look like sexy calendar pin u...

Down The Rabbit Hole And Back Again…And Boiling The Bunny In The Process

Hello my lovelies! Here I am after a hiatus from my blogging to complain about the lack of progression in the things that make my life go boom.   I mean some things are progressing; like my Lady Parts surgery, which is now scheduled for May 28 th .   The cock sucky thing about that is, as a “non-exempt” associate (hourly), I only get 55% of my pay for short term disability, as opposed to 100% for 120 days for the exempt associates at my firm.   It blows a fatty but eh?   I get good benefits so I can adjust to it and besides, when I do an event or show, I get paid from the moment I leave my house to the moment I get back in so...SCORE! Anyhoo, I’ll be off work for anywhere from two to eight weeks depending on the type of procedure I'll have done and how much pain I’ll be in.   Shit, that doesn’t matter as I sit here on the second menstrual cycle this month. I know…TMI.   Gross, but I digress. On March 29, my short fantasy story, “Blue Caladiu...

Mental Diversion - Short Story For You! "Wildaluna, the Drunk Flying Witch: Chapter 1"

Image
This is a witch: This is a bottle of booze: This is a witch with a bottle of booze: This is an accident scene orchestrated by me at Kindra's desk: This is how this weird scenario played itself out in my warped mind: Now here's the backdrop: This is one of those weird detours that my brain tends to take, especially when I’m under a lot of pressure and I need a mental health break, so to speak.   This story isn’t going to make any sense but then, it’s not supposed to.   This idea to write it came from a couple of co-workers, Kindra Sheffield and Pam Moore.   Kindra has these little cute toys on her desk; a tractor trailer, a foamy car, a flip flop, a witch and a bottle of booze.   As we talked about it and stacked the crime scene to make the accident, the storyboard formulated in my mind.  Sometimes ideas come from the strangest things.   So here we are, a mental break that my crazy ghetto muse “Sistagurl” has decided to take...
