Let's have this discussion again. I don't think ya heard me the first time. We'll try it in a different way...because I'm extra like that. Hello, My Lovelies! This is a cake. It’s a very beautiful chocolate cake and probably very delicious. “ We ” didn’t get a piece. There’s a reason for that: “ We ” were too busy being extra and ratchet. Let me explain. Imagine, if you will: Ten ladies at a round table – five ladies on one side, and five on the other side: a dark skinned lady, light skinned lady with long, wavy hair, a lady with a weave, a lady with an afro and a lady with a perm. And then there’s that beautiful cake in front of them. It’s a fairly large chocolate cake with three layers and ten pieces are already cut, just waiting to be served. As of February 9th, Year 2016 is 40 days old, and we've had some of our best and brightest leave us way too soon, some before last year's end: Natalie Cole, Lemmy Kilmister (December 31, 2015) Willie Guest (Pips - December 24, 2015)  Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots - December 3, 2015) David Bowe (January 10, 2016) Glenn Frye (January 18, 2016) Paul Kanter (Jefferson Airplane - January 28, 2016) Alan Rickman (omg! January 14, 2016) Abe Vigoda (if he's gone, there's no hope for the rest of us. I hate to tell you but we're all gonna DIE! January 26, 2016) ...and sadly, Maurice White of Earth, Wind, and Fire (February 3, 2016). EWF was a huge part of my childhood in the 70's and I was so sad to see someone who was like an old friend saying hello through his music drift out of this plane of existence. Hello, my Lovelies! Here we are the end of a very interesting and empowering year for your Cheetah Diva.  The way it started out was different from previous years in that I wasn't as stressed about the issues that I've had to deal with. I would love to say that it was stress/drama free, but that wouldn't exactly be the truth. Still, it started out on a high note and ended the same way. In December of the previous year, I got into an altercation with someone due to instigated drama. That horrific meltdown led me to a miraculous breakthrough in my development as a human being. From that point forward, I made it my mission statement to become a better person and to handle my anger and resulting depression in a different way. I tend to throw myself under the bus and then withdraw, which in turn would have caused the depression to spiral. The start of 2015 was the beginning of the fulfillment of that promise to myself.
